About

VISION

To positively impact social, technical and physical development through the game of football, by providing a high-quality pathway that meets all our players’ ambitions.

MISSION

To provide a high quality, inclusive, enjoyable and safe football development environment for all

Welcome to our club, a charity incorporated organisation, and a beacon of community and sport since 1955, originally founded to offer recreational and sports opportunities to the hardworking factory employees at the Vulcan Foundry. This iconic site, known for its contributions to locomotive production and repair from the 1860s to the 1950s, has a rich history intertwined with our club’s legacy.

Though we faced a period of uncertainty when our original home was repurposed for residential development by St Modwen, their commitment to establishing a new sports facility paved the way for our triumphant return in September 2018. Now, settled back into our historic location, we’ve proudly reunited our open age and juniors sections under one roof for the very first time. This homecoming has sparked an unprecedented surge in enthusiasm and participation, highlighting the club’s vital role in our community.

Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive environment where every player, regardless of skill, gender, disability, or age, can find a place to thrive, achieve their dreams, and exceed their ambitions. Our open age team competes in the Cheshire League, ambitiously setting sights on advancing to step 6 of the football pyramid.

The Vulcan Sports Club, our cherished home, boasts two full-size 11-a-side pitches, and a pitch format for all junior ages accommodating the growing passion and talent within our ranks. As we look to the future, we’re excited about the opportunities to expand, evolve, and continue enriching our community through the beautiful game. Join us, and be part of a club where history, heart, and ambition converge.
